Final Registration Period
This page is prepared for Boğaziçi University students who will take action during the Summer School Final Registration period. Unlike the pre-registration period, Preparatory (Hazırlık) School students can also register during this period, and it is mandatory to send all created course programs for advisor approval.
To ensure a smooth process for you, please first identify which of the following 4 scenarios applies to you and follow the corresponding steps.
Registration Scenarios Matching Your Status
Scenario A: I Selected Courses During Pre-registration and Will Make No Changes
If you selected your courses during the pre-registration period and do not intend to make any changes to your schedule:
- You do not need to make any new payments or add/drop any courses.
- Simply log in to the BUIS system and send your current program directly for advisor approval.
Scenario B: I Selected Courses During Pre-registration But I Will Change/Add Courses
If you want to add a new course to your pre-registration schedule or change your courses:
- You do not pay an additional application fee (YKA).
- You only need to deposit the total hour fee (YKR) for the newly added courses to the bank.
- Following the payment, you must select your new courses on BUIS (obtaining consent if necessary) and send your program for advisor approval.
Scenario C: I Paid During Pre-registration But Did Not Add Any Courses
If you deposited the fees during the pre-registration period but did not make any course selections in the system:
- You must deposit an additional 780 TL to the bank, which is the application fee difference between early registration and final registration.
- After making this additional payment, you must log in to the BUIS system, select your courses, and send your program for advisor approval.
Scenario D: I Did Not Apply During the Pre-registration Period (First-Time Registration)
If you are joining the Summer School for the first time during this period, you must follow the standard registration route sequentially:
1. Course Selection Planning
- Students can take a maximum of 10 credits or 3 courses in Summer School.
Examples:
- Three 4-credit courses can be taken
- Four 2-credit courses can be taken
- Four 3-credit courses cannot be taken
2. Determining the Payment Amount
For students registering for the first time in this period, the application fee (YKA) is 1,950 TL. The hourly unit fee for courses (YKR) remains 630 TL.
The amount to be paid for the selected courses can be calculated using the Summer Payment Calculator tool on BUIS.
- Fees are calculated based on the total T+U+L (Theory + Tutorial + Laboratory) hours, not the credits.
- This tool is for informational purposes only; transactions made here do not constitute an actual course registration.
Sample Calculation
For a program consisting of two courses:
- MATH 101 (T+U+L): 4+0+2 = 6
- SOC 101 (T+U+L): 3+0+0 = 3
- Total T+U+L: 9
- Credit Fee (YKR): 9 x 630 TL = 5,670 TL
- Application Fee (YKA): 1,950 TL
For Scholarship Students
The Summer School scholarship covers the course with the highest fee among the selected courses.
Example:
- MATH 101 (6 hours): covered by scholarship
- SOC 101 (3 hours): paid
- Credit Fee (YKR): 3 × 630 TL = 1,890 TL
- Application Fee (YKA): 1,950 TL

During course selection, different quota information may be encountered. This information can be found in the quota (quota) field on the course page.
3 Possible Scenarios:

- A consent request must be sent through the system.
- The instructor may accept or reject the request.
When approved:

If rejected or unanswered: Registration for the course is not possible.

Important Notes Regarding Consent

- Courses are never automatically added to the program under any circumstances.
- Communicating with the instructor beforehand can be helpful; however, this does not replace official consent.
