Registration Process
Boğaziçi University Summer School Registration Periods
The Boğaziçi University Summer School registration process consists of three main periods: Pre-registration (Early Registration), Final Registration, and Late Registration (Add-Drop).
1. Pre-registration (Early Registration) Period
While the Spring semester is still ongoing, this stage is the busiest period of Summer School registrations. The primary advantages of registering during this period are:
- Lower Application Fee: A lower application fee (YKA) is applied compared to other registration periods.
- Quota Advantage: It provides the opportunity to select courses before quotas are filled.
- Advisor Approval: Course programs created during this period are not sent for advisor approval. However, it is mandatory to submit these programs for approval during the Final Registration period to finalize your enrollment.
- Restriction: Preparatory (Hazırlık) School students cannot register during this period.
2. Final Registration Period
The system is reopened for student access shortly before Summer School courses begin.
- Registration Opportunity: Students who have not yet registered during the pre-registration period are eligible to register during this time.
- Preparatory Students: Preparatory School students are eligible to register during this period.
- Mandatory Advisor Approval: All course selections—including those made during the pre-registration period—must be sent for advisor approval.
3. Late Registration (Add-Drop) Period
This period takes place during the first week following the start of Summer School classes.
- Program Update: Students may drop existing courses or add new ones to their schedule.
- Last Registration Opportunity: Students who have not registered in previous periods can still join the Summer School program during this final stage.
