BU ID Card

BUCard can be picked up at Oriantation Program for Visiting İnstructors just before  beginning of the term.

WHAT IS IT FOR?

BUCard is both an instructor ID card and a payment card.

BUCard can be used as a payment card at the University dining facilities.

To use the BUCard as a payment card you have to pre-load your card.

HOW IS BUCard PRE-LOADED?

To pre-load your BUCard you can use payment channels of the Garanti Bank. You do not have to be the bank’s customer in order to pre-load via the branch or ATM.

• Garanti Branches: Tell the teller that you want to make a payment for BUCard under university payments option.
• Garanti Internet Banking: Choose Payments -> Institution -> University -> Boğaziçi Üniversitesi -> BUCard option, enter your registration number (specified in bold as the “sicil no” on your card) and pay the amount you wish to load.
• ATM: (Don’t insert your BUCard card into the ATM) Choose  Payments -> Other Payments -> University Payments -> Boğaziçi Üniversitesi(08) -> BUCard option(2), enter your registration number as “Utility Number:” -> Choose “I don’t know the card number” option and pay the amount you wish to load.

Apply to the BUCard Office at Computer Center in case of troubles in using your BUCard (bucard@boun.edu.tr)
